ABOUT MOMENTS OF TRUTH
Filming for this project spanned 2015-2018, when I traveled throughout the United States with my dog Henry recording human attitudes and beliefs about our relationship with animals.
I interviewed farmers and ranchers, ecologists and bioethicists, research scientists, wildlife advocates, hunters and sanctuary founders, and I recorded encounters with memorable people and animals along the way.
I became invested in this work when my experiences riding horses and volunteering on small farms and ranches opened me up to the impacts human beliefs have on animals. A mixture of curiosity and concern propelled me onto the road full time with Henry to explore these ideas and seek answers.
