Moments Of Truth Project
This documentary film, along with the companion book, interviews and video shorts below, comprise a single project spanning several years when I traveled throughout the United States with my dog Henry exploring human attitudes and beliefs about animals.
I interviewed farmers and ranchers, ecologists and bioethicists, research scientists, wildlife advocates, hunters and sanctuary founders as well as people I encountered along the way.
I became invested in this work when my experiences riding horses and volunteering on small farms and ranches collided with uncomfortable realities about the cost animals suffer inside our human industries. A mixture of curiosity and concern propelled me onto the road with Henry to see how others sort through their beliefs about the non-humans sharing our planet, and the environments we all call home.
